hips, pelvis & buttocks
Stretch marks
Stretch marks are best treated during the inflammatory stage (red colouring). Intense pulsed light makes the blood vessels and thus the marks contract. Smaller stretch marks can be completely removed this way. If the marks have scarred (white colouring) the best treatment results can be obtained by the use of a fractional laser. The method of choice is best discussed with your doctor.
Liposuction on the hips
It is extremely difficult to manage the problem area around the buttocks and hips, since this tissue is where the body saves fat (energy) naturally for "hard times". Liposuction as well as non-invasive procedures such as injection lipolysis (fat-removal-injection) have proven to be very effective in this area.
Lipomassage, a brand new development in dermatology, is an efficient supporting treatment as it reduces the fat content and superfluous liquids in the skin.
